Commercial Truncheon Meter

SKU: BLU2100E

Suggested Retail:  $140.00
5 Year

Big jobs require a big Truncheon! With a conductivity range right up to 6.0EC (60CF or 4200ppm), it will never leave you short. The Commercial Truncheon® Nutrient Meter has been designed for hydroponic crops that require a higher than normal EC or CF requirement during their growing cycle. It's super tough, fully waterproof, has no on/off buttons to worry about and does not need calibrating. It's great for stirring your nutrient tank too!

It is essential when growing with a hydroponic solution to KNOW what the strength of the solution is before feeding your plants AND while they are growing. This is easy when you use the Commercial Truncheon! To take a reading of your solution - simply place the probe head into the solution for 1-2 minutes to reach the same temperature of your nutrient. Remove from the solution and place back in to take the reading as indicated by the flashing lights. Rinse the probe after use in fresh water and clean once a month to ensure the Commercial Truncheon Nutrient Meter remains accurate.

Q: What is the suggested pH range for my hydroponic system and soil plants?
A: Hydroponic and soil gardens differ in the fact they both need different pH ranges for nutrients to be made available for plant absorption. Maintain a pH between 5.0 and 6.5 for hydroponic gardens and 6.0 to 7.0 for soil applications.
Q: My pH meter doesn't hold calibration. How often should I recalibrate it?
A: pH meters do need to be calibrated by the user every day since the membrane does change and is affected by the temperature as well. If pH values are very critical then it will need to be recalibrated several times a day, or before each sample test (depending on how critical the value is). Uncontaminated calibration solution is very important as well. For each calibration, pour some solution in a separate container. Keep out of sunlight and away from heat.
